KUALA LUMPUR (June 25): Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor (pictured) has announced his resignation as Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) chairman effective June 30, according a statement from Felda.

Megat Zaharuddin's resignation after just 11 months since his appointment on July 27 last year confirms a report by The Edge Financial Daily this morning.

Sources had told The Edge Financial Daily that Megat Zaharuddin sent an internal memo to Felda staff revealing his decision to relinquish the chairmanship.

Megat Zaharuddin succeeded Tan Sri Shahrir Samad, who stepped down on May 14, 2018.
