KUALA LUMPUR (March 17): Eateries can continue to operate to serve customers for take-away or delivery orders.

A statement by the National Security Council said today that fast food outlets, restaurants and hawker centres can remain open but not to serve dine-in customers.

The food can be taken away by the customer or by food delivery services.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced yesterday a movement control order between March 18 and March 31.

All non-essential services were instructed to close for the duration.

The order was imposed to slow down the spread of the COVID-19.
