KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 3): i-Bhd (KL:IBHD) and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will jointly launch the 200-room Wyndham i-City in December and will debut i-City AI World, an AI and robotics experience centre that will be open to the public.

“Our collaborations with Wyndham have consistently raised the bar for guest experiences. With AI World we are taking the next bold step to position i-City as Malaysia’s first AI & Robotics Experience Centre. Wyndham i-City will be a cornerstone of this transformation, offering guests a glimpse of how the future of hospitality and technology can seamlessly converge,” said i-Bhd chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong in a press statement on Sept 2.

This is the third collaboration between i-Bhd and Wyndham, following the success of Wyndham Suites KLCC and Wyndham Garden i-City.

According to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific president Ooi Joon Aun, “Our global pilots have demonstrated the transformative potential of AI and robotics in redefining hospitality. Wyndham i-City marks another milestone in our partnership with i-City, allowing us to deliver next-generation guest experiences in one of Malaysia’s most innovative destinations.”

Wyndham i-City will offer one- to three-bedroom suites with attached kitchens to cater to families, business travellers and long-stay guests. Located in the heart of i-City, the hotel will support Malaysia’s tourism ambitions by integrating AI-enhanced experiences into hospitality.

Meanwhile, AI World will feature embodied AI and robotics in hands-on settings, with future plans including an AI Smart Tower, a wellness-themed residence designed around AI-powered living.
