KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 30): Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy, has opened the 307-key, 24-storey Sheraton Kota Kinabalu. The hotel is positioned as a community and gathering-focused hub, located across CentrePoint Sabah, along Jalan Albert Kwok, and behind the Kota Kinabalu Chamber of Commerce. Average room rates range from RM600 to RM650.
“The opening of Sheraton Kota Kinabalu expands Sheraton’s community-focused design and signature experiences across key destinations in the region,” said Marriott International regional vice-president for Indonesia and Malaysia Ramesh Jackson in a press statement on Dec 29.

According to Sheraton Kota Kinabalu general manager Nauman Hasan, “We are delighted to welcome guests to Sheraton Kota Kinabalu, where the spirit of Sabah’s culture and the warmth of its people are reflected in every detail of the hotel.”
