KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Richmond Asia Group has appointed Frasers Hospitality as the hotel management company for the hotel suites at Richmond Mayor, its upcoming mixed-use development in Mount Austin.
According to a statement on Jan 13, the collaboration brings Frasers Hospitality’s international expertise to the project, which will feature 275 hotel suites under the Capri by Fraser brand.
Slated to open in 2030, the suites will comprise studios as well as one- and two-bedroom apartments with facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a resident’s lounge, a swimming pool, a gym and meeting spaces.
Frasers Hospitality is a strategic business unit of Frasers Property and currently manages more than 100 properties in over 20 countries.
“Working with Frasers Hospitality as the hotel management for Richmond Mayor will certainly position this residence as a compelling investment choice and ideal accommodation for investors and residents,” said Richmond Asia Group chief executive officer Aaron Yap.
Located in one of Johor Bahru’s fastest growing neighbourhoods, the integrated development will also include a premium lifestyle mall, office and serviced suites, and serviced residences.
The development’s first phase, Tower A, will include the hotel, along with the office and serviced suites component.
The hotel management agreement follows Richmond Asia Group’s earlier partnership with Barceló Hotels and Resorts for Richmond Estelar in Kuala Lumpur.
