PETALING JAYA (April 9): Raia Hotels has expanded into the resort and leisure segment with the opening of its first beachfront property, Raia Beach Resort Port Dickson, marking a strategic extension of its hospitality portfolio in Malaysia.

The resort is operated by UJ Hotels & Resorts Management Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Urusharta Jamaah Sdn Bhd. The opening ceremony was officiated by chairman Datuk Mohd Shukri Hussin, alongside UJ Hotels & Resorts chairman Datuk Othman Semail and representatives from Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara Bhd, the property owner.

The development was in collaboration with Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara Bhd, reflecting a joint effort to enhance the tourism offering in Port Dickson and contribute to local economic activity.

Mohd Shukri said the launch reflects ongoing efforts to support Malaysia’s domestic tourism and hospitality sector, while Othman noted that the expansion aligns with the group’s focus on delivering accessible hospitality experiences in established destinations.

Located along the Teluk Kemang coastline, the resort features 62 rooms within a low-rise, tropical setting designed for leisure travellers, families and small group gatherings. The property has undergone approximately one year of refurbishment and upgrading works prior to its launch.

The development includes direct beach access, a newly upgraded swimming pool, and landscaped open spaces to support recreational and group activities. Its design emphasises a relaxed, private environment suited for short getaways and staycations.

This latest addition complements Raia Hotels’ existing portfolio of city and convention hotels across key locations, including Alor Setar, Bayan Lepas, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

Raia Beach Resort Port Dickson is now open to guests, with introductory rates available via its official website.
