PETALING JAYA (June 11): Property developer Eastern & Oriental Bhd (E&O) announced the launch of AVÉA, a RM1 billion serviced apartment development at Gurney Green within Andaman Island, Penang, slated for completion in June 2030.
The project comprises 1,080 fully-furnished units across two towers, with 540 units in each tower. Unit sizes range 678–1,076 sq ft, offering five layout configurations from one-bedroom-plus-study to three-bedroom units.
According to the group In a press statement on Thursday, AVÉA is its second marina-edge residential development at Andaman Island following the launch of Maris in December 2024. The development is designed to provide residents with access to waterfront amenities, retail offerings, and public spaces within the township.

The company said Tower A, which was introduced for private viewing earlier this year, has achieved a take-up rate of 65%. Tower B is now being launched as the next phase of the development, with prices starting from RM724,000.
Situated on a five-acre freehold site with a commercial title, AVÉA will feature a waterfront promenade incorporating 10 commercial shoplots, cafes and communal spaces. The promenade is planned to support a mix of retail, dining, and lifestyle activities for residents and visitors.
The development will also offer a range of facilities, including swimming pools, landscaped gardens, sports courts, event spaces, a rooftop garden, outdoor fitness areas, and a gym. Parking provisions include visitor bays, electric vehicle charging facilities, bicycle parking, and motorcycle bays.

E&O said the residences are fully furnished and designed to maximise natural lighting and ventilation, with private balconies and views of Penang Island.
AVÉA has received GreenRE Platinum Provisional Certification, which recognises the project's sustainability features, including considerations related to energy efficiency, environmental performance, and resident wellbeing.
“Andaman is a long-term vision to create Malaysia's most liveable curated island — a connected waterfront destination where people can live, work, play, learn, and sail within a vibrant and sustainable community. Every component within the township is intentionally planned to contribute towards a highly liveable and connected environment,” said E&O managing director Kok Tuck Cheong in the statement.
“AVÉA represents another important milestone in that journey. As our second marina-edge residence, it strengthens Andaman's waterfront living proposition through thoughtfully-designed homes, lifestyle offerings, and community spaces that bring residents closer to the sea and the experiences that define island living,” he added.
