PETALING JAYA (June 27): Eco World Development Group Bhd and SD Guthrie Bhd have announced completion updates relating to the acquisition by Eco Business Park 8 Sdn Bhd (EBP8) of approximately 935.241 acres of freehold land in Mukim Kulai, Johor, and SD Guthrie’s disposal of the land to EBP8.
In separate Bursa Malaysia filings yesterday, EcoWorld said the land acquisition by EBP8 had been completed pursuant to the terms of the sale and purchase agreement (SPA).
The completed land acquisition forms part of proposals announced in November 2025, including a subscription and shareholders’ agreement between SD Guthrie Land Ventures Sdn Bhd (SDGLV), Permodalan Darul Ta'zim Sdn Bhd (PDT), EcoWorld and EBP8, as well as the provision of financial assistance to EBP8.
In a corresponding filing, SD Guthrie said its proposed disposal of the Johor land to EBP8 had also been completed pursuant to the SPA.

SD Guthrie’s broader proposal framework, announced previously, also includes a separate share subscription and shareholders’ agreement involving NS Corporation, SDGLV, EcoWorld and Eco Business Park 7 Sdn Bhd (EBP7), together with the disposal of land in Negeri Sembilan to EBP7.
The latest filings are updates confirming completion of previously announced transactions and do not disclose new commercial terms.
