KUALA LUMPUR: Crest Builder Holdings Bhd recorded a fourth quarter (4Q) profit of RM3.23 million and revenue for the same quarter of RM137.8 million. For its financial year ending Dec 31, 2010 (FYE 2010), net profit stood at RM13.95 million while revenue was RM460 million.

In its filing to Bursa Malaysia on Monday, Feb 28, the group said it's 4Q2010 revenue increased by 30% to RM137.8 million compared to RM106.2 million in 4Q2009, while its profit before tax increased to RM3.2 million from RM0.4 million in 4Q2009. The increase in both its 4Q revenue and profit before tax were mainly due to the higher contribution from sale of properties from development activities undertaken during the current quarter.

Going forward, the group said they will continue to bid actively for construction projects whie continuous effort is being taken to identify measures to improve the group's construction margin. They are cautiously optimistic that the operating results for 2011 will remain satisfactory.
