KUALA LUMPUR (March 4): Magna Prima Bhd appointed Cheah Len Khoon as its chief executive officer effective yesterday.

Cheah succeeds Datuk Rahadian Mahmud Mohammad Khalil, who was redesignated as group managing director on April 14, 2014.

According to Magna Prima’s bourse filing yesterday, Cheah, 61, has 30 years of working experience in construction and property development industry, of which he spent two years in Selangor Public Works Department as an engineer.

In a separate filing, Magna Prima said its executive director Tan Wei Dar resigned from his post effective yesterday to pursue other business interests.

Tan was appointed the group’s managing director on March 19 last year.

Shares in Magna Prima closed one sen or 0.93% lower at RM1.06 yesterday, with a market capitalisation of RM352.86 million.
