KUALA LUMPUR: SPK-Sentosa Corp Bhd, a member in the FBM KLCI construction counter, registered a net loss of RM1.14 million in its third quarter ended Sept 30, 2009 (3QFY2010) from a net loss of RM2.53 million the previous year, on higher revenue contribution.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Nov 12, the loss came mainly from the impairment of goodwill of the oil and gas unit amounting to RM2,816,000, which is offset by the share of profit of associates.

Its revenue in this quarter, meanwhile, increased 24.93% to RM69.15 million, versus RM55.35 million a year earlier.

Its loss per share was 0.85 sen, compared with 1.89 sen a year earlier. It did not declare any dividend.
