They say that MBPP and the state authorities should explain why the mitigation works taken and the steep slopes were cut and cleared in violation of the state’s regulations.

The land was acquired by a developer through a land swap deal with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and now nearby residents fear soil erosion may cause a landslide.
