Two were members of the parliament, six were escort officers while the remaining were 48 officers from various government agencies.
The positive cases were identified from 2,093 individuals tested in the period of July 21 to 25, 2021
Of the 10 Delta variant cases, three were found in Melaka, two in Kedah, two in Johor, and one each in Terengganu, Perlis and Selangor
Of the latest cases, Selangor led the country with 7,171 infections, followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,880) and Kedah (1,112).
“As more of these positive cases and their contacts are isolated and quarantined, cases will start to gradually come down in the weeks to come. Once that happens, testing will be restrategised to ensure effective detection of cases for isolation and monitoring,”
