The FDA said some of the side effects that may be associated with Ivermectin include skin rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, facial or limb swelling, neurologic adverse events such as dizziness, seizures, confusion, a sudden drop in blood pressure, severe skin rash potentially requiring hospitalisation and liver injury (hepatitis).

Among the states and federal territories, Selangor delivered the highest number of first doses yesterday at 84,409, followed by Kuala Lumpur (57,525), Johor (40,791), Sabah (29,560) and Penang (23,042).

Selangor recorded the highest number of first doses given yesterday at 89,183, followed by Kuala Lumpur (47,866) and Johor (35,145)

This was the lowest number of daily doses recorded in nine days after over 300,000 to 400,000 shots were delivered previously. The latest seven-day moving average of daily doses fell to 393,097 from 410,947 on Monday. 

This brings the total doses of vaccines administered in Malaysia so far to 14.35 million. A total of 4.53 million individuals nationwide have received their second dose — representing a vaccination rate of 13.85% of the nation’s population of 32.72 million.
