The bodies of a mother and child, believed to be buried alive in the landslide at a campsite in Gohtong Jaya on Friday (Dec 16) morning, were found hugging each other.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast that heavy rain will start tomorrow, especially on the East Coast.

A total of 363 rescuers from 15 agencies are still trying to locate the missing victims with the help of six tracking dogs.

The authorities need to take stringent action against abuses of PPR and at the same time, work out the RTO for the deserving.

Sales data indicated that 53% of purchasers were aged between 20 to 30 years old while 41% of buyers were from the 31 to 40 age group.

So far, eight people were killed and 60 others have been rescued in the landslide which occurred early today.
