KUALA LUMPUR (April 3): Up to 300 units of 1Malaysia People’s Housing project (PR1MA) homes would be built in each state constituency, Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman, revealed yesterday.

Even though the cost of the PR1MA homes were about RM140,000, they will be sold at RM68,000 each, Bernama reported Ahmad Razif as saying.

As for affordable housing units, they will be sold at just RM20,000 per unit, with their original cost at around RM40,000 each.

He said that to make sure the affordable homes can be handed over to the people who need the homes before the year ends, the Terengganu has approved the allocation of RM1 million for each state constituency, Bernama reported.

Ahmad Razif added that conditions to own the affordable houses was subject to each state constituency’s decision while PR1MA homes would follow the existing requirements.
