PETALING JAYA (July 31): Johor aims to provide 100,000 modestly-priced homes in the next five years under its Johor Affordable Housing Scheme (RMMJ), reported The Star.
Johor Local Government, Science and Technology Committee chairman Tan Hong Pin said 3,000 units of these homes will be built this year, during a speech at the Johor Real Estate Practitioners Dinner 2018.
Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) president Eric Lim said he hoped the new government will work towards a solution to solve property financing challenges faced by buyers.
He said there are many interested prospective buyers deterred by problems in obtaining their desired financing.
