PETALING JAYA (Oct 5): Padini Holdings Berhad today confirmed that one of the staff at Brands Outlet in Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya, was tested positive for Covid-19. 

The company said through a Facebook post that the outlet is temporarily closed and will undergo a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning process, while contact tracing will be performed following the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) guidelines.

“Padini Holdings Berhad regrets to confirm that on October 5, 2020, one of our staff has tested positive for COVID-19 "at Brands Outlet in Paradigm Mall and the patient is now receiving medical attention,” it said.

All staff in the outlet will also be screened and will undergo 14 days self-isolation. 

The number of new Covid-19 cases recorded a sharp hike today, with 432 new infections reported.
