KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 20): UEM Sunrise Bhd today introduced its Perth development, One Oval, to Malaysia, following the project’s recent display suite unveiling in Australia.
According to a media statement from UEM Sunrise, the showcase, held at the UEM Sunrise Showcase Gallery in Mont’Kiara, provided Malaysian purchasers with an early look at One Oval ahead of its international marketing campaign.
Located in Subiaco, voted Australia’s Most Liveable Suburb in 2023 and directly across from the historic Subiaco Oval, One Oval is UEM Sunrise’s first foray into Perth. The development is a key component of the Subi East revitalisation initiative led by DevelopmentWA, Western Australia’s development agency for urban renewal projects.
“Bringing One Oval to Kuala Lumpur reflects our intention to connect Malaysian buyers with thoughtfully designed international developments. With One Oval, we are pleased to introduce a landmark development that not only reflects quality of vibrancy, liveability and sustainability, but also embraces community-focused living. These are values we continue to prioritise in shaping places that support both present and future communities,” said Hafizuddin Sulaiman, officer-in-charge and chief financial officer of UEM Sunrise.
Comprising two towers above a landscaped public space and curated ground-floor retail, One Oval offers a range of residences, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom apartments and townhouses with dedicated study, open plan layouts, crafted finishes and generous lifestyle amenities.
“A full suite of wellness-oriented amenities complements the residences, including a half Olympic length pool, hot and cold plunge pools, private theatre, gym, golf simulator, dining lounges, BBQ areas and a rooftop club with yoga decks and a community herb garden,” stated UEM Sunrise.
The development is targeting a 5-star Green Star rating under the Green Star Buildings 1.0 standard.
The development will be delivered across two lots. The South Tower on Lot 1 comprises 245 residential units and four retail tenancies totalling 340 sq m, while the North Tower on Lot 2 includes 97 units, with 41 units allocated for affordable housing in support of Western
Australia’s inclusive housing goals. Construction is expected to commence in the second half of 2H2026, with the North Tower scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2029, followed by the South Tower later part of the same year. Upon completion, the project will deliver a total of 342 residences across two-tiered towers rising to 36 storeys.
