Success in real estate wasn’t an overnight achievement for Philip Chan, it was a decision to aim higher. He recalls a defining moment when he stopped settling for “good enough” and decided to pursue excellence with discipline and consistency. That decision became the catalyst that shaped his career into one defined by growth, purpose, and high performance.

Everything changed the moment standards were raised.

This mindset shift pushed Philip to rethink his goals and habits. Instead of measuring success by short-term wins, he began to focus on long-term progress and daily improvement. Each year became a new challenge, a chance to outgrow the person he was the year before.

He sets his goals methodically, with each year’s target higher than the last. Breaking them into monthly milestones and weekly reviews keeps him accountable and focused.

“Each year I set a bigger goal than the last because aiming higher keeps me growing. I break it into monthly targets and track progress weekly. Staying accountable comes from reviewing my results consistently and keeping my mentor or leader updated, it pushes me to stay on track and go beyond my comfort zone,” he shared.

Philip’s biggest differentiator lies in his ability to balance results with genuine care. “Results plus care, that’s my formula. I combine strong market knowledge with personal attention. Clients know they’ll get honest advice and the best deal, without ever feeling pressured,” he said.

Discipline, not motivation, drives Philip’s consistency. He believes that while emotions fluctuate, habits define success. I focus on my daily actions, no matter the highs or lows, that’s how I stay consistent,” he explained.

Philip began his career by assisting first-time homebuyers and mastering the fundamentals of the market. Today, his portfolio spans larger projects and loyal clients who return or refer others, a reflection of the trust he’s built over time.

Aiming higher isn’t just a goal, it’s a way of life. It’s the mindset that turns persistence into progress, and ambition into achievement.

He credits mentorship, training, and networking for sharpening his edge and accelerating his growth. Mentorship gave him direction, training refined his skills, and networking expanded his opportunities.

He sees service, sales, and self-growth as an interconnected cycle, believing that excellence in one drives the others. “To me, great service leads to strong sales, and self-growth ensures both keep improving. That’s how I keep raising my standards,” he said.

Looking ahead, Philip’s next milestone is clear, to double his sales and cultivate a high-performing team that mirrors his drive and discipline. To achieve it, he plans to strengthen systems, recruit strategically, and invest in consistent training for both himself and his teammates.
