IJM Land to bring Village Grocer to Seremban 2 in RM25m project

• The outlet is expected to serve over 62,000 residents of Seremban 2, which marks its 30th year as a master planned township.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 3): IJM Land Bhd will introduce premium grocer Village Grocer to Seremban 2 in the fourth quarter of 2027 under a RM25 million investment.

IJM Land COO Datuk Chai Kian Soon said at the ground breaking ceremony, “Our vision has always been to create a township where families can live with ease, where businesses can thrive, and where communities can flourish. The arrival of Village Grocer strengthens that vision by enhancing daily convenience, enriching the fabric of Seremban 2, and setting a higher benchmark for township living”.

The new outlet will be located on a 1.9-acre parcel within the township and will feature a 26,240 sq ft built-up area supported by 100 parking bays. Construction began this month, following a groundbreaking ceremony officiated by the developer.

Designed as a lifestyle anchor, Village Grocer will offer fresh daily produce, gourmet and organic selections, and a wide range of imported items.

“Our commitment has always been to provide customers with the freshest produce, quality groceries, and a shopping experience that combines convenience with discovery. This new store will allow us to be part of the everyday lives of families in Seremban 2, while supporting local producers and creating a lively destination for the township,” said TFP Retail Sdn Bhd group executive director Ivan Tan.

The outlet is expected to serve over 62,000 residents of Seremban 2, which marks its 30th year as a master planned township. The project is expected to create 90 to 150 direct jobs and a further 150 to 300 roles through upstream supply chain engagement.

Chai added that the grocer will complement nearby launches such as IKON Residences, slated to be the township’s tallest residential development.
