KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 4): Haily Group Bhd (KL:HAILY) has secured a RM42.85 million contract to construct 187 terraced houses and a substation in Kulai, Johor.

In a bourse filing, the group said the contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd, by DC Architects Sdn Bhd on behalf of Nice Frontier Sdn Bhd. The project will be carried out on a plot in Bandar Putra of Kulai, Johor.

The 15-month contract period commences on Dec 15, and is scheduled for completion on March 14, 2027.

Haily noted that the award will not affect its issued share capital or substantial shareholders’ holdings, as no new shares will be issued. However, the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets over its duration.

Shares in Haily closed half a sen lower, or down 2.4%, at 20.5 sen on Thursday, giving the group a market value of RM86.72 million.
