KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 29): Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott Bonvoy, announced the opening of the 393-key Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel. Formerly Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur, this opening followed the signing of TSM Global Bhd and Marriott International Inc in July.
Positioned as an urban sanctuary for families and business travellers in Petaling Jaya’s established commercial district, the hotel is located along the SPRINT highway and in close proximity to the Phileo Damansara MRT station.
“Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel epitomises urban hospitality—blending the convenience of a central location with the warmth of personalised service,” said Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel’s general manager Daniyal Ng.
The hotel rooms also feature family-friendly layouts and amenities, including family rooms with bunk beds for children, and a Kids Club.
Other amenities include a lounge, a Chinese restaurant, the exclusive M Club Lounge for Elite and Club members, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, an outdoor pool, and 11 meeting rooms.
The hotel, formerly Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur, was sold by CP Group to a private vehicle linked to former investment banker Datuk Lim Kheng Yew, founder of KYM Holdings Bhd, for about RM200 million in July.
