KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 13): Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd (KL:DENGKIL) announced that it secured a RM24.8 million subcontract for external works at a hyperscale data centre project in Puncak Alam, Selangor.
In a bourse filing on Friday, the group said the letter of award (LOA) was given to its wholly-owned subsidiary Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd (WDSB) from Gamuda Bhd’s (KL:GAMUDA) unit Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd.
As per the subcontract agreement, the ACE Market-listed construction firm said its unit will be responsible for the construction and completion of road and landscape works at Eco Business Park V, specifically for SGW1A and 2A: Shell and Core.
Works are scheduled to commence on May 15 with trade completion targeted by Dec 1, 2026 for Phase 1 and March 31, 2027 for Phase 2.
Completion is slated for Feb 28, 2027 for Phase 1 and Sept 1, 2027 for Phase 2.
Wawasan Dengkil is principally involved in construction services, including earthworks and civil engineering, trading of construction materials, as well as the provision of machinery and commercial vehicles for hire.
Gamuda Engineering is engaged in civil engineering and building construction.
“The acceptance of the LOA by WDSB to undertake the subcontract works is expected to contribute positively to the net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing of the company throughout the duration of the subcontract works,” the group said in the filing.
Shares of Wawasan Dengkil Holdings were unchanged at 17 sen at noon break on Friday, valuing the group at RM91.8 million.
