PETALING JAYA (May 12): Battersea Power Station is expanding its retail, leisure and cultural offering with more than 10 new openings confirmed for 2026, as the riverside destination continues to scale its experiential mixed-use development.
Battersea Power Station commercial leasing director Harriett Renny explained Battersea Power Station is delivering on its ambition to be one of London’s most compelling mixed-use destinations.
“Having welcomed more than 40 million visitors since opening in 2022, we are a testament to the enduring appeal of in-person retail and leisure, with a focus on experience and connection.
“This approach enables us to attract an exciting mix of new brands across fashion, food and leisure, while continuous evolution draws new audiences and encourages repeat visits, further cementing Battersea Power Station’s position within London’s thriving retail scene,” she said in a statement today.
It now offers more than 170 shops, bars, restaurants and leisure venues, as demand for experience-led retail and entertainment continues to grow among Londoners, domestic visitors and international tourists, it added.
Early spring openings included Swiss luxury chocolatier Läderach inside the Grade II* listed Power Station, as well as Me Place Nursery in Circus West Village, offering childcare for one- to five-year-olds during weekdays and a weekend drop-off crèche service for residents, office workers and visitors.
Upcoming openings inside the Power Station include health-focused café Jungleberry Acai, while Duck & Dry will open on Electric Boulevard, the pedestrianised high street. Chango Empanadas will also open at the new Battersea Power Station London Underground entrance on Electric Boulevard, which opened in October 2025.
Summer will bring further momentum with Anthropologie, Noodle Inn, Konjiki, Moida K-Beauty, and fitness and lifestyle club One City, which will open its first London studio at the destination.
Health and wellness operators are also expanding, reflecting rising demand for lifestyle-focused amenities. Third Space is taking an additional 13,833 sq ft, expanding its existing luxury health club footprint.
LIPS Healthcare is also upsizing its presence at the development. Its expansion will include preventative care, diagnostics, recovery and longevity services, alongside a skin health clinic, breast care clinic, rehab gym and dedicated wellness space.
The leisure offering is further strengthened by Ramses and the Pharaoh’s Gold at NEON, marking the UK and London debut of the ancient Egypt exhibition.
These openings build on momentum from late 2025, which saw brands including Moleskine, Waterstones, ThruDark, Alo Yoga, The Salad Project, JENKI Matcha and WatchHouse join the lineup.
It added that Studio Egret West has been appointed to evolve the original masterplan first conceived by Rafael Viñoly more than 15 years ago, as future phases continue shaping the wider riverside district.
With around half of the riverside neighbourhood still to be delivered, future phases could add up to 3.2 million sq ft of residential, commercial, cultural and leisure space across 16 acres of undeveloped brownfield land, with construction of two new Gehry Partners buildings set to begin soon to complete Electric Boulevard.
