PUNCAK ALAM (Sept 25): Alpha Galaxy Sdn Bhd and Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on Alpha Galaxy’s Galaxy Exchange commercial development in Puncak Alam.
Under a proposed rewards programme linked to the collaboration, purchasers of commercial units at Galaxy Avenue will receive RM50,000 worth of S-Coin, Alpha Galaxy said. The release did not set out the programme’s eligibility, issuance or redemption terms.
S-Coin is a rewards scheme for Senheng’s PlusOne members. It can be used to redeem products through Senheng’s channels, subject to applicable terms, product exclusions and redemption limits.
Alpha Galaxy COO Abdul Wadood said the MOU marks “the beginning of a new relationship” to create greater opportunities for customers, businesses and the wider community. He added that Alpha Galaxy aims to build “vibrant ecosystems where businesses can grow, people can connect and communities can prosper.”
Senheng corporate strategy officer YY Lim said the retailer saw growth potential in Puncak Alam, citing its expanding population, surrounding townships and the student community at UiTM Puncak Alam.
Lim said Senheng’s services extended beyond product sales to delivery, installation and after-sales support, which he described as relevant to first-time homebuyers and households furnishing or upgrading their homes.
“We are not just looking for footfall. We are looking for communities we can grow alongside,” Lim said. “A good partnership is one where everybody gains.”
Alpha Galaxy also plans to introduce Galaxy Walk, a proposed 3.4-acre lifestyle and commercial component within Galaxy Exchange. Registration of interest is scheduled to open in October 2026.
According to the company, Galaxy Walk is planned to comprise 20 commercial units intended for flagship retailers, with prices starting from RM2.45 million. Built-up areas are expected to range from about 2,265 sq ft to 7,576 sq ft.
The plans also include a 23,000 sq ft event hall for weddings, corporate functions and other activities. Alpha Galaxy envisages retail, food and beverage, fitness and service offerings at the development.
