KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway City Bhd, through its wholly owned subsidiary Sunway City (Singapore) Pte Ltd, entered into an Equity Joint-Venture Contract with Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Investment and Development Co. Ltd (SSTEC) to develop 69 acres of land in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, Tianjin, China.

The Group announced on Wednesday, Oct 27 that the contact was entered on Tuesday, Oct 26 and the new entity created is called Tianjin Eco-City Sunway Property Development Co Ltd.

In an earlier announcement on Oct 27, 2009, Sunway City entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with SSTEC to jointly develop more than 98.8 acres in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City with residential and commercial projects.

In April 30, 2010 it entered into a Collaboration Agreement with SSTEC to iron out details of the development.

The remaining area of 29.8 acres will be developed by another planned foreign equity joint venture, the Group said.
