The joint JS-SEZ project office is made up of Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore, and will complement Malaysia’s Invest Malaysia Facilitation Centre, which was established in February.

Effective Jan 1 next year, operators of food premises across 20 city areas will not be allowed to renew their business licences if they fail to ensure their toilets are at the bersih (clean), menawan (attractive) and wangi (pleasant-smelling) or BMW level, said Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming.
