KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 19): Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon) has bagged a contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd to develop a campus along Jalan Bangsar for RM781.3 million.

In a bourse filing, SunCon said it received a letter of award from Tenaga today. "Upon the award of the project, SunCon's outstanding order book as at to-date amounts to RM6 billion," it added.

The project, it said, is termed Project Platinum Main Building. The works are in respect of phase two of Tenaga's headquarters campus development.

The works should be completed within 26 months from the date of commencement, which will be determined by the parties, said SunCon.

At the noon market break today, SunCon shares rose four sen or 2.5% to RM1.63, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.11 billion. — theedgemarkets.com
