KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 7):  Sime Darby Property has temporarily closed its HQ (pictured) in Petaling Jaya after one of its staff working in the building tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

The company said in a statement that the staff is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital. Meanwhile, deep-cleaning and disinfection would be carried out in the building.

“All employees based at the headquarters are requested to work from home effective immediately, until further notice.

“The Heads of Department/Operating Unit are to ensure that the business operations are carried out as normal during this period,” Sime Darby Property said.

It added contact tracing will be carried out to “identify staff and external stakeholders who have been in close contact with the affected individual”.

Sime Darby Property said its “other sales galleries and office premises are not affected and will continue to operate as usual”.
