PETALING JAYA (Nov 27): Public toilets in Sepang are among the cleanest in Malaysia and they have the awards to show for it, reported The Star.

Loo facilities belonging to Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang), KLIA2 satellite building and Mitsui Outlet Park were reported winners at the National Clean Public Toilets 2020 competition organised by the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT).

MPSepang president Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain told the daily that the toilet located on the second floor of the council’s HQ took first place in the government office category.

“KLIA2 (satellite building) won first place in the public stop category while Mitsui Outlet Park won second place in the shopping centre category,” he added.

Housing and Local Government Ministry announced the winners in conjunction with the national World Toilet Day 2020 celebration.

World Toilet Day organised by the United Nations is meant to “encourage and advocate the spread of awareness on the importance of accessible and clean toilets”.
