Almes Lee’s journey into real estate began as a part-time pursuit in 2019, while he was still working full-time in the car industry. Drawn to the independence and flexibility that real estate offered, he quickly realized that success in this field demanded more than just opportunity, it required strong self-discipline and consistent effort.
He describes the career as one that blends ambition with balance.
“Real estate is a career that depends entirely on self-discipline and effort,” he said. “But what I love most is the art of work-life integration, being able to grow my business while still having time for what matters most.”
Maintaining a dream board and vision plan
One of the habits that has kept Almes grounded and goal-oriented. These tools, he says, help him visualize success and stay aligned with his long-term goals, especially during challenging times.
That focus paid off in a defining moment of 2024 a transaction that reminded him how trust and persistence can turn challenges into opportunities. When a client’s wife had already signed with another agent, her husband stepped in, convinced her to proceed with Almes instead, even though it meant forfeiting the booking fee. That act of confidence didn’t just save the deal, it led to three more property purchases from their family members.
“That moment showed me the power of genuine relationships and integrity,” he reflected. “Clients remember how you make them feel, that’s what builds lasting trust.”
Like many agents, Almes faced his fair share of challenges along the way. One of the toughest was when team members left unexpectedly. Instead of being discouraged, he chose to see it as a natural process of growth and refinement.
“When team members leave, I see it as filtering, the right people will stay, and the right opportunities will come,” he shared.
You just have to trust the process
To those still striving for their first breakthrough, Almes offers a grounded yet powerful piece of advice: avoid limiting yourself too early. He encourages new agents to try every sales channel possible from banners and flyers to roadshows, social media, and cold calls.
“For new agents, don’t pick one method too soon,” he advised. “Every approach works if you put in the effort. Keep experimenting until you find what truly fits you and once you do, go all in.”
Almes’s story is a reminder that consistency, openness, and belief in the process are the cornerstones of sustainable success in real estate.
