• SPAPN 2025 highlighted six award categories: Best Development Performance Award, Best Industrialised Building System (IBS) Management Award, Outcome Evaluation Award, SejaTi MADANI Award, MADANI Adopted Village Award, and one main award, the National Development Award.

PUTRAJAYA (Nov 12): The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) was crowned the recipient of the National Development Award at the 2025 National Development Symposium and Awards (SPAPN) today.

The award was presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pictured) at SPAPN 2025, which carried the theme 'Bringing MADANI Development to the People', organised by the Implementation Coordination Unit, Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM).

ICU JPM, in a statement, announced that the Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) Desa Murni Sanggang, Temerloh, with its Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Project, was named the recipient of the Best SejaTi MADANI Award at SPAPN 2025.

Kampung Jilid 8, Kuala Muda, together with the Attorney General's Chambers, was selected as the recipient of the Best MADANI Adopted Village Award.

“SPAPN 2025 is a continuation of the initiative introduced by ICU JPM starting in 2023 through the National Development Awards (APN) to recognise the efforts, commitment, and successes of ministries, departments, agencies, and the community in the aspect of programme or project management,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications also won second place in Category B, Best Industrialised Building System Management Award at SPAPN 2025.

The Deputy Secretary-General (Telecommunications Infrastructure) of the Ministry of Communications, Mano Verabathran, extended his congratulations to the ministry's Development Division via his Facebook post for the achievement.

“Congratulations to the Development Division for their hard work and innovation in driving the national development agenda and improving the well-being of the people, in line with the Malaysia MADANI aspiration,” he said.
