PETALING JAYA (March 18): JLand Group (JLG), the real estate and infrastructure arm of Johor Corporation (JCorp), has formalised a strategic partnership with EdgeProp, Malaysia’s leading property media and data platform, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance property data intelligence and strengthen market positioning across Johor’s evolving real estate landscape.

Signed in Kuala Lumpur, the agreement appoints EdgeProp as JLG’s strategic knowledge partner at a significant juncture, as Johor continues to gain momentum as a regional economic powerhouse, supported by transformative growth drivers such as the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).

Central to the partnership is EdgeProp EPIQ, EdgeProp.my’s proprietary all-in-one property data and analytics platform, which delivers comprehensive market intelligence through a centralised digital mapping tool for developers, investors and real estate professionals. Through this collaboration, JLG aims to harness EdgeProp’s data intelligence capabilities alongside its own regional market knowledge and development expertise to strengthen operational effectiveness, sharpen market positioning, and support the development of a more integrated, data-enabled property ecosystem in Johor.

The MoU outlines a joint initiative focused on three primary areas:

*Optimising JLG’s internal workflows: JLG will leverage EdgeProp’s EPIQ platform to enhance its internal operational processes. This initiative seeks to integrate a unified data dashboard into JLG’s existing systems, streamlining research, planning, and market analysis across its residential, commercial, and industrial portfolios.
*Strategic market presence and project visibility: This partnership will leverage EdgeProp’s cross-border media platform to reinforce JLG’s market positioning and amplify the profile of its strategic developments through data-driven content and coordinated marketing initiatives.
*Exploring a regional digital platform: The collaboration will also explore the potential development of a specialised regional digital platform underpinned by the EPIQ engine. This project would utilise the EPIQ architecture as a "technological chassis," allowing JLG to integrate its comprehensive regional data with EdgeProp’s standardised nationwide property data sets.

"Our role as the knowledge partner for JLand Group is about providing a reliable, data-driven foundation for their digital strategy. By utilizing the EPIQ engine, JLG can focus on their core expertise in development while we provide the specialized analytics and media reach required to support their ambition in driving the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and beyond," said EdgeProp managing director Alvin Ong.

"Digital transformation is a core pillar of JLG’s strategy, and this partnership accelerates our shift towards a more data-empowered development model. By integrating EdgeProp’s data intelligence capabilities into our decision-making processes, we are enhancing how we assess land bank opportunities, plan future developments and respond to market signals with greater speed and precision.

“More importantly, this allows us to move from data visibility to decision advantage, strengthening how we position developments, deploy capital and respond to market shifts in real time,” said JLand Group group managing director Datuk Sr. Akmal Ahmad.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to harnessing data, technology and strategic insight as catalysts for more informed, agile and future-ready real estate decision-making.

By bringing together JLG’s development expertise, market intelligence and long-term strategic vision with EdgeProp’s advanced analytics and media capabilities, the collaboration is expected to unlock greater value across the property landscape and strengthen market confidence in Johor’s growth trajectory.
