KUALA LUMPUR: Tanco Holdings Bhd posted a pre-tax loss of RM4.58 million for its second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2010, compared with the loss of RM2.41 million posted in the same period last year.

The company said on Tuesday, Aug 24 that the loss was due to a waiver arising from a settlement with a contractor in the previous corresponding period.

KUALA LUMPUR: Asian Pac Holdings Bhd posted a revenue and pre-tax loss of RM7.25 million and RM1.06 million respectively for its first quarter (1Q) ended June 30, 2010, the group announced on Tuesday, Aug 24.

For the same period a year ago, it posted a pre-tax profit of RM9million, while revenue then stood at RM38.3 million.

KUALA LUMPUR: Seloga Holdings Bhd posted a pre-tax profit of RM6.4 million for its second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2010, on the back of revenue of  RM15.6 million.

Pre-tax profit rose 56% from RM4.12 million pre-tax profit posted in the same period a year ago, while revenue increased 69% from RM9.2 million posted for the same period a year ago, the company said on Tuesday, Aug 24.

KUALA LUMPUR: IGB Corporation Bhd posted pre-tax profit of RM63.3 million for its second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2010, up 8.4% compared with RM58.4 million posted for the same period a year ago, mainly driven by higher contributions from the property investment and hotel divisions.

KUALA LUMPUR: KSL Holdings Bhd posted revenue and pre-tax profit of RM46.9 million and RM24.3 million respectively for its second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2010.

This represents a revenue increase of 17% from RM40.06 milllion posted in the same period last year, and a pre-tax profit increase of 77% from RM13.7 million posted a year ago, the company said on Tuesday, Aug 24.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prinsiptek Corporation Bhd posted a pre-tax profit of RM570,000 for its second quarter (2Q) ended June 30, 2010, down 36.67% from the preceding quarter.

The company said on Tuesday, Aug 24 that its 2Q revenue was RM50.42 million, up 6.30% from the same quarter a year ago, and up 55% from the preceding quarter's revenue of RM32.55 million.

KUALA LUMPUR: Axis Real Estate Investment Trust (Axis-REIT) proposed to acquire the Tesco JB Hypermarket Complex for a total lump sum cash consideration of RM75.6 million from Bukit Indah (Johor) Sdn Bhd.

The latest acquisition will increase the assets under management to over RM1.2 billion, Axis-REIT said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday, Aug 24.

KUALA LUMPUR: MMC Corp Bhd posted profit of RM187.17 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2010, which was 25.3% higher compared with RM149.35 million a year ago.

KUALA LUMPUR: SHL Consolidated Bhd posted a pre-tax profit of RM9.60 million for its first quarter (1Q), ended June 30, 2010, up 8% from RM8.58 million posted in same period last year, on the back of RM67.07 million revenue.
